“It’s a classy instrument with the exact modern blues sound that I’m
incorporating into to my progressive sound that hopefully distinguishes me from my contemporaries.
Everybody wants their own style and sound and this instrument has really helped me get my own." |
|
"I love my Stager for the
crisp and powerful sound. The neck and fingerboard is
very comfortable and the pick up works great and its
easy to handle my own tone on the stage." |
|
“The first
thing that strikes the eye is its unusual brass-bodied
finish, which has been treated to give it a tarnished effect.” |
|
“Fortunately, Amistar gave up mass production at the right
time, and took the path to super quality.
I always get the right ‘Deep South
sound,’ which I love, and which is so typical of the Mississippi Delta.” |
|
“I use my Amistar
Stager for bottleneck slide playing because its resophonic sound is matched to that type of music,
although my friend Woody Mann uses his for regular
fingerpicking.” |
|
"I finally have the guitar. It
is beautiful and plays great. Thank you Franta for your
efforts." |
|
"Just a quick note to say I am loving the guitar and so are
my audiences. It sounds and looks fantastic in concert. I
have put nickel strings on it and am using the P-90 pickup.
Big, warm, lovely sound" |
|
"A mainstay that appears on
about seventy percent of the tracks for the session was a
single cutaway chrome resonator with a piezo and hum-bucking
pick-up, made by Amistar of the Czech Republic. Mixing mike,
amp and di made an interesting blend." |
|
"I'm really happy to be inside Amistar family and I´m happy
with my guitar.
I´ve already used this great instrument on my new Cd." |
|
I want that my instrument will be for me equal partner in
the musical ideas. I don´t make the compromises in this
field. Amistar is the inspiration for the original blues
sound in the new music that makes the Retro blues and
contributes to the characteristic sound of this group. |

My Amistar Stager has actually enabled me to make a dream
come true: mixing my funk and soul influences into a more
roots sound. It is versatile and powerful enough to
indiscrimately play acoustic straight Delta blues and yet
harder, crunchier and more electric kind of sound ... And I
know it's a sin, but when I play slide my Stager on a good
valve amp/valve overdrive combination, it sounds good and it
feels good ! So yes, in terms of electricity applied to
resonators, there's nothing quite like my Stager!

My incredible Amistar custom resonator tenor guitar! The
most beautiful and the best quality resonator tenor I’ve
ever played! Thank you, Amistar, for building such an
amazing instrument. This guitar really surpassed my
expectations. I will proudly show this off to folks, perform
and record with it. |
