AMISTAR
HISTORY: RESOSTONE
This new idea arose during the Christmas time of 2005
Franta Javurek met the young Prague sculptor
Mr. Jan Rericha at a Prague's jazz club, where Franta's
Amistars Swing Trio had just performed. Jan Rericha
told Franta that he made a stone violin from a special
metamorphic acoustic marble VERDE QUATEMALA,
270 million years old !!! ( coming only from India ) for
the top Czech classical violinist Mr. Jaroslav Sveceny.
That night they had some more beers together and after
that they had decided to produce the new marble resophonic guitar !!!
Well, it took ca. 3 months to find out how to make it and so on.
And - it was born !!! All were so surprised of the great loud sound,
tone colors and many new sounds etc.
The first marble resophonic guitar in the World has the name RESOSTONE
and was shown for the first time at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt, Germany
in March 2006. Many known reso players played it there: ie. Papa George UK,
Bottleneck John SE, Claus Boesser-Ferrari DE, Lubos Bena SK and many more
musicians from all over the world. They all were very surprised by the
sound qualities.
Amistar got their first orders for it and the next guitars will ship to Japan
and Germany.
